Egads, another freekin update
Woe is me. Second Life is down again. Of course I was logged out while working on a really interesting piece up in my workshop. A sort of wrought iron looking thing. Not sure where it is going yet but it looks really cool so far. A bit prim heavy though unfortunately.
Today they’re taking the grid down to try to fix some of the goof ups that they created with their last update. I sincerely hope some of them are fixed. It is annoying as hell with the group im’s being messed up. I have too many groups as it is but the spam that I have been getting this past week from them makes me go on busy mode and never come out! Ugh.
If you haven’t heard of it, please check out Project Open Letter
It has been highlighted on the Linden Blog, but it really is important. The grid needs work. Issues with stability and general functions that are not working any longer or working intermittently that need to be addressed. Please keep up the pressure and the push to make Linden Labs listen to their user base. We invest a lot of time, energy, and money into Second Life. Viable solutions and finding a way to deal with the huge influx of new residents needs to be done before fancy new features like voice chat are enabled. I shudder to think what will happen once voice is put into Second Life.
The grid doesn’t work properly now, with inventory losses, search flub ups, teleport issues and many other problems that we live with on a day to day basis when investing so much money into it is just unacceptable in my opinion. New features is great. A lot of new people is great. But please don’t forget the importance of the basics.
